Team Henselite's Nick Brett won his first ever World Indoor Singles title with a 9-9, 12-9 victory over fellow Englishman Robert Paxton in the final staged at Potters Leisure Resort.

The first set was closely contested, with Brett earning a crucial half point with the last bowl of the final end.

But world number 1 Brett pulled away in the second set, counting a full house 4 shots on the opening end and never relinquished his advantage.

Brett adds the singles title to the pairs world title he won in 2014 partnering Team Henselite stable mate Greg Harlow.
